Culture belongs to everyone—help us keep it that way.

Poetry in America is a multi-platform educational initiative and public television series that brings poetry into classrooms and living rooms around the world.

We seek to make the humanities accessible to all and to preserve our culture for future generations. This work is more important now than ever, and we need your help.

Please donate to support our mission, helping us to offset our canceled NEH grant and to expand our educational work.

Your donation supports ongoing work in the following areas:

  • Public Media for Learners of All Ages. Our PBS television series and related educational materials bring the power of poetry and literature to screens of all kinds.
  • Reading Education and Postsecondary Readiness for High-schoolers. Our courses and curricula build reading skills—an area of critical need—and promote academic and durable skills development for high school students.
  • Health Humanities Content for Current and Aspiring Health Professionals. Our interdisciplinary Health Humanities offerings seek to widen pathways into health careers—and to improve patient care practices and combat burnout among current providers.
  • Professional Learning and Classroom-Ready Resources for Educators. Our short- and long-form learning experiences help educators deepen their expertise and advance professionally.
